TAKING NO SHORTCUTS
There are no shortcuts to any place worth going; the same is true about the things worth making. So while there are a lot of ways to make bourbon, we found there’s only one way to make TAH. It starts with our family pouring grains into the mill, ends with sealing each bottle by hand and demands our obsession through every step in between. We want the things we make to tell you something about who we are. Each bottle holds a piece of that story for us, and we hope to share it with you.
TRULY GRAIN TO GLASS
At TahWahKaro we mill the raw grains to a certain size, cook the grains with the best water, then ferment the mash to our exact standards to make our uniquely well rounded whiskies. Grain to glass means the whole process from milling the grains, mashing, fermenting, distilling and bottling all happen inside our doors. We get to watch as Texas grains and Texas water become something else entirely and we are the lucky ones who get to shepherd that process. It takes a lot of time, grit and patience, but that is the only way we do things here. We believe the time we spend should be used to make something truly remarkable. There’s just no shortcut to making that happen.

Whether on a river, a lake, on a trail, or in the woods, we love being in the great outdoors! We want to do what we can to help protect it, so we’re donating a portion of all profits to organizations that help protect those spaces.
